Founded in the 1727 AD by Sawai Jaising II and famously known as “The Pink city”, it is a fascinating city with a wide variety of hill forts and palaces and numerous attractions. It is known as the Pink city due to the color of stones used to build this city. Here one can find crowdie bazaars selling handicraft products, embroidered leather shoes, pottery products and other beautiful wares.

This city also fascinates the travelers by the way of its architecture, as this city is built through a nine grid pattern which was considered to be lucky in the old days.
